Stensåkra Chark invests in centralized cleaning

At Stensåkra Chark in Vetlanda, quality is always at the center. High-class sausages are produced here, using ingredients and processes that the company fully stands behind. Transparency, food safety, and production control are therefore important keywords for the business. When the company faced changes in organization and ownership structure in early 2025, they decided to simultaneously take a major step toward more modern hygiene solutions. The choice fell on a new centralized cleaning system from Lagafors.

In January 2025, a 40-bar central combi unit (CCU) was installed, complemented by six complete satellite stations throughout the facility. Previously, they worked with a mobile 20-bar cleaning system, but as more employees take part in the cleaning work, the need for a more structured and scalable solution grew. The transition to a centralized system has made the work simpler, safer, and more efficient.

Stensåkra Chark’s production involves several different stages with varying hygiene requirements. For the section of the facility where kebab is handled, specialized conveyor cleaning for the flow freezer was also required, which was integrated into the centralized cleaning system.

By combining centralized dosing, the correct pressure level, and customized cleaning points, the facility has obtained a solution that supports both food safety and a more ergonomic way of working for the staff.

To ensure a long service life and consistent functionality, Lagafors has a service agreement with Stensåkra Chark for maintenance from Lagafors twice a year.
